Beach volleyball residential training from May 2

The Sri Lanka Volleyball Federation (SLVB) will commence residential training for  beach volleyball from May 2 in preparation for the Commonwealth Games.   
Commonwealth pool training was suspended before the New Year holidays.   


The 12-member Commonwealth Beach volleyball pool comprising six men and six women will see the addition of four players each for the Commonwealth Games.   
Sri Lanka men and women qualified for the Commonwealth Games by winning a beach volleyball qualification tournament in March in Negombo.   


Malintha Yapa and Ashen Rashmika (men) and Chathurika Madushani and Deepika Bandara (women) have qualified for the Games.
