C Rugby Cup 2023 Vidyartha, Pushpadana crowned champions

Vidyartha and Pushpadana teamed up to become champions

The boys from Vidyartha College and Pushpadana College teamed up to make sure that the C Rugby Cup for 2023 will stayed in the Hill Capital for yet another year when they defeated another home team combined between Kingswood College and Girls High School were 2-1 in the Cup final which concluded last weekend at CR & FC rugby grounds under lights in front of a packed ground.   

The plate final was won by Wesley College and Methodist College, who beat Dharmaraja College and Mahamaya Vidyalaya 2-1 in the final. Meanwhile, the Bowl was won by St. Peter’s College and Holy Family Convent Bambalapitiya who defeated Isipathana College and St. Paul’s Milagiriya 2-1.   

The event was very well organized for the seventh time by AGOAL International, headed by former Isipathana, CR & FC and National rugby player and renowned rugby referee Dilroy Fernando.
