Cash X, Siam City Cement, Technomedics International and Hayleys Group “B” in semis

Cash X, Siam City Cement, Technomedics International and  Hayleys Group “B” advanced to the Semi-Finals, in the ongoing Fourth  Fairfirst Insurance Trophy –Mercantile Cricket Association (MCA) “F”  division 25 –Over League Tournament 2022, winning their respective  quarter-finals, concluded last weekend.   

1st Q. Final at DSS (Morning):

Batsmen, Reshana Seneviratne (56) and Amayuru Kaluarachchi  (46) along with bowlers, Chamath Fernando ( 3 for 22) and  Devinda Thillakaratne (3 for 28) steered Cash X to a convincing 44-run  win over Ansell Lanka.   

Cash X – 202/6 in 25overs, Ansell Lanka – 158in 23.5 overs   

2nd Q. Final at DSS (Afternoon) :
A notable double by Sohan Kariyawasam (57 runs and 3 for  24) helped Siam City Cement to score an upset one wicket win, with a  delivery to spare, over the fancied HNB “B”.   
HNB “B”– 139/9 in 25 overs, Siam City Cement -140/9 in 24.5 overs   

3rd Q. Final at MCA (Morning) :
An unbeaten half ton by Sheshan Fernando (58 not out) and  an economical spell of bowling by Isuru de Silva (3 for 19) enabled  Technomedics International to eliminate the Group “B” leader, Nations  Trust Bank by five wickets.   
NTB – 125/9 in 25 overs, Technomedics – 127/5in 20.1 overs   

4th Q. Final at MCA (Afternoon :   
Hayleys Group “B” maintained their unbeaten status with a  comfortable 30-run win over Dialog Axiata. Match winners for Hayleys “B”  were Maduranga Zoysa (56) and Sahan Nanayakkara (3 for 16).   
Hayleys“B”–172/8 in 25 overs, Dialog -137/9 in 25 overs   
The 1st Semi Final will be played on March 26 March at MCA  between Cash X Vs. Siam City Cement and the 2nd Semi Final on 27 March  at MCA between Technomedics International Vs. Hayleys “B”.
