Chalitha grabs lead in bid to regain top ranking

Chalitha Pushpika, representing the Navy, emerged as a formidable force, delivering a top-class performance with a brilliant two under round on the third day of the Ranking Golf Championship 2024 continued at the Victoria Golf Club Course in Rajawella yesterday. 
Pushpika’s remarkable display catapults him to the top of the leaderboard with a total score of 219, showing his skill and composure under pressure. 
Haroon Aslam also showed his form in his home course returning from USA with an impressive even par round, securing a total score of 220 and positioning himself as a strong contender for the championship title.


Meanwhile, yesterday’s leader, Uchitha Ranasinghe faced a sudden downturn, struggling through a torrid six over round and sliding to third place with a total score of 224.
Vijitha Bandara, another promising contender, experienced a setback with a disappointing performance, slipping to fourth place with a total score of 225. 
The young talent Yannik Kumara maintained his position in fifth place, despite facing hurdles, concluding the day with a total score of 227.
