A top knock of 77 by Chehan Subasinghe and a four-wicket haul by Kaveesha Induwara paved the way for Richmond College to coast to a convincing 101-run win over Nalanda College in the Under 19 inter-schools limited over tournament encounter played at Campbell Place.
Richmond taking first lease of the wicket made a modest score of 217 runs and Nalanda College in their turn were able to muster a score of only 116 runs.
A half ton by Nethula Edirimanne enabled Ananda College to record a comfortable four-wicket win over St. Joseph Vaz Wennappuwa at Boyagane while Mahinda College Galle, Lyceum IS Wattala, St. John’s College Jaffna, Asoka MV Colombo and Debarawewa Central won their matches against St. Anthony’s College Wattala, St. John’s College Panadura, Sri Devananda MV Ambalangoda, St. Thomas’ College Matale and Siddhartha Central Balapitiya.
