Colombo and Renown triumph in LSL Stage-7

Action from the match between Upcountry Lions FC and Colombo FC

Colombo FC edged out Upcountry Lions FC 3-2 in their Lanka Super League (LSL) Semi-Professional Football Tournament Stage-7 match played at the Sugathadasa Stadium in Colombo yesterday.

The scores were level 1-1 at half time.

Mohamed Aakib scored twice for the winners in the 31st and 98th minute while substitute Bodre Dimitri scored a goal in the 96th minute of the game.

Mariyadas Nitharshan netted both goals for Upcountry Lions FC in the 21st and 63rd minute respectively.
Meanwhile in the second match of the day Renown SC defeated New Youngs FC 2-1 after the scores were 0-0 at half time.

Jude Suban and Dilan Madushanka scored a goal each for Renown SC in the 53rd and 56th minute respectively.
M. Mushikhan scored the solitary goal for New Youngs FC in the 78th minute of the game.
