Commercial Bank clinch MHA ‘A’ Division title

Commercial Bank dethroned defending champions HNB to win  the ‘A’ Division title at the third Mercantile Hockey Association (MHA)   Nine-A-Side Hockey Tournament 2023, at the Air Force Hockey Grounds in   Ekala.   

Brief results of the four finals:

‘A’ Division: Commercial   Bank beat HNB 1-0 (The winning goal was scored by Anju Hewage). 
‘B’  Division: Browns Group beat Hayleys Group 1-0 (The winning goal was  scored by Pathum Prabodha). 
‘C’ Division: Seylan Bank beat Nations Trust  Bank 2-1. (Jeffrey Irshad scored both goals for Seylan Bank while A.  Aravinda scored the solitary goal for NTB). 
‘D’ Division: Sampath Bank  ‘B’ beat Browns Group ‘B’ 1-0 (The winning goal was scored by Prabodha  Piyasena).
