DSI Schools Volleyball to start on October 26

The national level matches of the DSI Supersports Schools Volleyball Tournament, conducted by the Sri Lanka Volleyball Association and the Sri Lanka Schools Volleyball Association will be held on October 26, 27, 28, November 1 and 2 at the Divisamara MV Courts in Seeduwa.   

A total of 24 District level matches have been already completed and the Colombo District games will be played from October 13 to 15 at De Soysa MV Courts in Angulana, Moratuwa.   

The tournament was not held since 2019 due to the Covid-19 pandemic and this time the championship will be held for Boys’ and Girls’ categories in the age groups of Under-11, 13, 15, 17 and 19.   

A total of 600 schools are set to participate in the national level tournament and the finals are scheduled for November 12 and 13 with the venue to be announced later.   

The finals of this tournament were always held at the National Youth Services Centre (NYSC) in Maharagama but this year the venue has been already booked for various musical and entertainment events.   

Therefore, there is a possibility that all finals will also be played at the Divisamara MV Courts in Seeduwa in case the organisers fail to get a suitable venue in Colombo.
