DSS emerge NSG sevens rugby champs

D. S. Senanayake College edged out Vidyartha College 19-17 in a thrilling final of the All-Island National School Games (NSG) Sevens Rugby Tournament 2024, which concluded at the Trinity College Rugby Stadium in Pallekele, Kandy.

At half time D. S. Senanayake led 12-5. 

Earlier, Vidyartha handed off Dharmaraja College 36-0 in the first semi-final while D. S. Senanayake got the better of Kingswood College 22-5 in the second semi-final.

All Provincial champions, runners-up and third placed teams participated in this tournament.
