Davina Perrin slammed a quickfire 54 in 34 balls which was her second successive half ton that included six boundaries and three sixes as she along with opening partner Erin Thomas helped the England U19 Women to coast to an easy win by six wickets over host Sri Lanka U19 Women in the deciding match of the U19 Women’s Tri Nation T20 tournament played at Sooriyawewa Stadium yesterday.
The pair gave the England U19 Women’s side in pursuit of 127 runs for victory a solid start by associating in a match winning 84 runs stand in only 58 balls which laid the foundation to race to the target in the 15th over to emerge champions.
