Dhanaranjan bounce back to take top spot

The third day of the Sri Lanka Golf (SLG) National Ranking Championship at Nuwara Eliya witnessed some thrilling turnaround as A. Dhanaranjan from the Victoria Golf Resort carded with an impressive one-over-par round. 

He topped the leaderboard with a collective score of 222, setting the stage for a much looked forward day-four.
Dhanaranjan played some classy golf in one of the toughest courses in the country with his closest rival being Uchitha Ranasinghe. 

Ranasinghe, who led after the second day faced a challenging round finishing with a nine-over-par, resulting in a total score of 223. This slip allowed Dhanaranjan to seize the lead by a mere stroke.

The tournament remains highly competitive as the top five players are separated by just 10 strokes with each vying for the championship title. 

Haroon Aslam sits in third place with a score of 225 while Chalitha Pushpika holds onto fourth with 226. Youngster Reshan Algama maintains his fifth position, ending the day with a score of 232.

With just one stroke separating the top two and only four strokes separating the top three, the final day promises intense competition. 

Meanwhile, Chanaka Perera delivered a steady performance finishing in sixth place with a total score of 235. Yannik Kumara who had a challenging second day bounced back beautifully to secure seventh place with a score of 239. 

S. Dhuwarshan follows in eighth place at 240 with Jevahn Sathasivam closely behind at 241. P. S. D. U. Kumara rounds out the top 10 with a score of 242.
