Dialog Enterprise powers Metro Texas Scramble Golf Tournament

The Rotary Club of Colombo Metropolitan in partnership with Dialog Enterprise, are all set to conduct the Dialog Enterprise Metro Texas Scramble Golf Tournament on November 13 at the Royal Colombo Golf Club (RCGC) with the golfers set to tee-off at 7 am and 12 pm.

The ‘scramble’ golf format will see participants compete in teams of four players. Participants will hit their own ball throughout the match with the team captain choosing the best shot from their team and using the same spot for each player for their subsequent shots. 

The Rotary Club of Colombo Metropolitan regularly hosts golf tournaments as part of their annual fundraising calendar and emphasised that all proceeds from the tournament would be directed towards charitable purposes.
President of the Rotary Club of Colombo Metropolitan, Gerald De Seram said, “This year’s event is the first time we have organised a team-based golf tournament. This is the sixth golf tournament organised by the club but none of those would have been possible without the steadfast and generous support of our stakeholders, like Dialog Enterprise and our other sponsors.”

Over 120 players have currently registered for the tournament, a number which the organisers are expecting to rise to around 180 by the closing of registrations.
