A quick-fire 122 in only 95 balls, inclusive of 15 boundaries and a six, by Niroshan Dickwella and an unbeaten 84 in 90 balls with eight boundaries and a six by skipper Lahiru Udara helped NCC come out on top against Sebastianites CC on day one of the Major Club cricket tournament encounter played at the NCC ground.
The pair put on a massive 195-run opening wicket stand for NCC to end day one in a strong position of 211 for 1 when bad light stopped play.
This was in reply to Sebastianites CC score of 120 runs. The match will be continued today.
