Three Sri Lanka youngsters two in the girls’ and one in the boys’ categories came out on top in their first round matches of the ITF Junior Circuit Week 1 tennis tournament played at the SLTA tennis courts in Greenpath, Colombo.   
The two girls Dinara de Silva and Akeesha Silva recorded wins against two Indian opponents Apeksha Leddy and S.R. Dakshansree while in the boy’s category Lisal Goonetileke too got the better of Saatvik Ashwinwith, with the trio winning with ease by two sets to nil. The wins saw them advance to the second round.

Girls – Dinara de Silva (Sri Lanka) beat Apeksha Leddy (India) 2-0 (6/0, 6/0). Akeesha Silva (Sri Lanka) beat S.R. Dakshansree (India) 2-0 (6/3, 6/3). Yu Chenge Wang (Taipei) beat Radha Sadmra (India) 2-0 (6/1, 6/0). Aahida Singh (India) beat Venula Jayasinghe 
(Sri Lanka) 2-0 (6/4, 6/0).   
Boys – Lisal Goonetileke (Sri Lanka) beat Saatvik Ashwin (India) 2-0 (7/5, 6/2). Yen Chuk Wango (Taipei) beat Wan Him Donovan (Hong Kong) 2-0 (6/0, 6/0).
