Dunilsha and Imasha take Anura Vidyalaya to quarters

Dunilsha Radishani and Imasha Udeshika shared seven wickets between them to help Anura Vidyalaya Matara clinch a ten-run win over Jayasiripura Kanishta Vidyalaya and qualify for the quarter-finals of the Girls’ Under 19 division two cricket tournament.


Anura Vidyalaya, playing without skipper Rishmi Sanjana, Rashmika Sewwandi and Pamoda Shaini who are in South Africa for the ICC Women’s Under 19 T20 World Cup, managed to score 137 for 8 in their 30 overs.


Lakni Nimsara topped the scorecard with 32 while Vishmi Shavindi chipped in with an unbeaten 23. Tharushi Chamodya captured three wickets.


Jayasiripura Kanishta Vidyalaya fell short by ten runs as Radishani and Udeshika shared seven wickets between them. Bhagya Harshani scored 46 runs.
