Expolanka Under-19 football Java Lane SC clinch title for second time

Java Lane Sports Club won the Expolanka Under-19 (Youth) Football Championship for the second time.  
Organised by the Colombo City League, 18 football teams took part in this tournament held at the City League grounds.  

Java Lane defeated Colombo FC 5-3 in a penalty shootout to emerge champions.  
The scores were tied 1-1 at full time, with both goals coming in the second half.   

Mohammed Lafar scored the first goal for Colombo FC in the 61st minute which was cancelled out by an 81st minute strike from Manoharan Jathusan for Java Lane.  

Theshan Pushpika of Colombo Veterans Sports Club (Youth) won the Golden Boot while Manohara Nethusan received the Golden Ball award.
