Fairfirst Insurance and Maliban Biscuits in MCA Premier League Final

A hurricane 158-runs partnership in 114 balls for the sixth wicket between Anuk Fernando (91 runs in 78 balls, inclusive of four sixes and an equal number of fours) and Asel Sigera (85 runs in 65 balls inclusive of seven sixes and five fours), and  a brilliant spell of bowling by Suwas Mendis (10-2-33-5) propelled Fairfirst Insurance to a comprehensive 113 runs win over Commercial Bank ‘A’ in theNational Development Bank (NDB) sponsored, MCA Premier League 50-over  white ball tournament 2022, semi-final at the MCA grounds recently.
In the other semi-final played on the same day at BRC grounds, Maliban Biscuits romped to a comfortable 110 runs win over 3DH International.  The match winners for Maliban were their bowlers, Tharindu Siriwardena (10-1-32-4) and Dinal Chathunga (5-2-9-3).
