Football Sri Lanka (FSL) has decided to conduct a fitness test on April 25 to select the national pool.
The national pool was disbanded after the four-nation invitation tournament and they took part in the Independence Trophy Inter-Provincial tournament.
Targeting three international tournaments in 2022 and 2023, FSL President Umar Jaswar said they hope to select a combined Senior, Under-23 and Under-19 pool.
FSL have identified 54 talented players from the Inter-Province League while 17 more players would be added to the national pool.
The three tournaments are Asia Cup 2023 qualification tournament in June, 2023 South Asian Games in Pakistan and SAFF football championship in Sri Lanka.
Sri Lanka will face Uzbekistan on June 8, Thailand on June 11 and Maldives on June 14 in the Asia Cup qualification tournament.
More players will be added to the national pool when the Champions League starts on May 15 and from the Super League.
