Four-member squad for Asian Boxing Meet

The Boxing Association of Sri Lanka (BASL) will field a four-member squad for the ASBC Men’s and Women’s Under-22 Youth Asian Boxing Championships from April 27 to May 7 at the Beeline Arena National Tennis Centre in Astana, Kazakhstan.
The Sri Lankan contingent will include Pasindu Mihiran of the University of Peradeniya (51kg), A. G. V. H. Jayasinghe of St. Sylvester’s College, Kandy (63.5kg), Y. V. M. Premarathna of S. Thomas’ College, Mount Lavinia (60kg) and S. N. S. M. Faris of Trinity College (48kg).
The selection of boxers for this event was based on the Medals won at the International Boxing Tournament held in Malaysia in 2023, BASL Vice-President Lt. Col. Hemantha 
Weerasingha revealed.
