‘Game, Set, Match – Sri Lanka Tennis and its Future’ Sri Lanka’s first tennis book launched

 The book titled ‘Game, Set, Match – Sri Lanka Tennis and its Future’ was launched at the BMICH on Wednesday (9). Here its author, Dinith Pathiara’s seen presenting a copy of the new book to Suresh Subramaniam, President, National Olympic Committee (NOC) who is also Past President of the Sri Lanka Tennis Association (SLTA)

‘Game, Set, Match – Sri Lanka Tennis and its Future’, a book written by renowned tennis coach Dinith Pathiraja was launched on Wednesday (9) at the BMICH in Colombo.  


The Chief Guest on the occasion was the President of the National Olympic Committee Suresh Subramaniam.  
‘Game, Set, Match’ is the first tennis book to be published in Sri Lanka.


The keynote address of the launch on Wednesday was delivered by Angelo Patrick, former Vice President of the Sri Lanka Tennis Association (SLTA).  


Rohitha Rodrigo, father Rector of St. Peter’s College, Colombo, and Iqbal Bin Issack, present President of the SLTA, too were present on the occasion.  


Pathiraja has been the Head Coach of St. Peter’s College for the past two decades when they had won almost all the national inter-school tennis titles.  


He was also the coach of many leading Sri Lanka men’s and women’s players including four-time Sri Lanka men’s champion Dineshkanthan Thangarajah and six-time women’s champion Amritha Muttiah.
