Gateway retains Netball Crown

Gateway College Colombo was unmatched in the International Schools Under-18 Girls’ Netball Championship 2024 that was organised by the Colombo International School. Gateway College beat Lyceum International School Wattala in the final after defeating British School Colombo in the semis. To the team’s credit, most matches were won by considerable margins.
In the final, Gateway Colombo beat Lyceum Wattala 15-6. In the semi-final, Gateway Colombo beat British School Colombo 20-7. In the group matches, Gateway beat OKI International School 24-0, Colombo International Colombo 21-1, and Lyceum International Nugegoda 23-1.
Gateway’s Sandali Sineka was named the Netball Queen of the Tournament. Shenoshi Abeywardena won the award for the Best Centre. Gateway Colombo girls missed out by a point to Horizon College International (9-8) to finish runner-up at the International Schools Under-16 Netball Championship 2024. Gateway Kandy girls finished third, edging out British School Colombo. Raneen Nazih of Colombo was named the Best Centre.
