Group Captain Jayathilake appointed Manager for Men’s Sevens team to UAE

Former Thurstan College, Sri Lanka Air Force rugby player and present Chairman of Air Force Rugby Group Captain Subash Jayathilake was appointed as the Team Manager of the Sri Lanka Men’s sevens rugby outfit for the Asia Rugby Sevens 2021.

This event is scheduled to take place on November 19 and 20 in UAE.

Group Captain Jayathilake played for Thurstan College from 1989 to 1991 and then joined Sri Lanka Air Force and played for them for seven years from 1994.

Group Captain Jayathilake was also instrumental in conducting the Commanders Cup rugby matches between CH&FC and Sri Lanka Air Force which was played over two legs in Ratmalana two months back. He was also a  member of the steering committee of the recently concluded Warrior Trophy 2021.
