HNB down Browns Group in a thriller

The Mercantile Hockey Association (MHA) League Tournament 2024 got off to a start last weekend at the Air Force Hockey Complex in Ekala.

13 teams in three divisions are participating and following are the results of the opening games:

HNB beat Browns Group 4-3; Sampath Bank v MAS Holdings 1-1 draw; Seylan Bank v Hayleys Group 1-1 draw and John Keells Holdings beat HSBC 5-4.

The Tournament will be continued on July 20 at the same venue with the following match card: Browns Group v Commercial Bank; HNB v Sampath Bank; Hayleys Group v John Keells Holdings and Seylan Bank v Sri Lanka Telecom.
