HNB netballers reign supreme at K/O Tourney

Hatton National Bank (HNB) won the ‘A’ Division title at the 2024 Mercantile Knock-Out Netball Tournament held at the St. Joseph’s College Indoor Stadium in Colombo.  
HNB once again maintained their reputation as the most successful team in the Mercantile Netball Tournament, conducted by the Mercantile Netball Association.  
HNB defeated Seylan Bank 55-33 in the ‘A’ Division final while Citizen Development Business PLC secured third place in the tournament. 

 
Meanwhile, in the ‘B’ Division final Dialog Axiata PLC beat Sampath Bank (36-18), in the ‘C’ Division final John Keells Group beat HSBC 17-12, in the veterans championship Commercial Bank beat Seylan Bank 8-1 and in the Open Mixed final Seylan Bank beat Sampath Bank 28-10.  
Individual Awards: Best Attire: Central Finance. Best Upcoming Player: Nelusha Warnakula (John Keells Holdings), Best Centre Court Player: Jayaliya Kamari (Seylan Bank), Best Defensive Player: Gayani Dissanayaka (HNB), Best Shooter: Dharshika Abeywickrama (HNB). Best Male Player: Sasindu Dilshan (Seylan Bank), Netball Queen: Dulangi Wannithilake (HNB).
