Half-Marathon to mark SLA Centenary

Sri Lanka Athletics (SLA) have planned to organise a series of events in connection with their Centenary Anniversary, which falls on January 22, 2022. 


The half-marathon (21km) will be held on January 22 as the first event of the Centenary celebrations.  
The half-marathon will start from  Diyatha Uyana, Battaramulla and will proceed through Kotte junction, Nugegoda Supermarket along High-Level Road, Maharagama, Pannipitiya, Borella Road, Thalawathugoda, Battaramulla Junction and finishing at Diyatha Uyana, Battaramulla. 


The half-marathon is open for Men and Women above 18 years of age. 


In addition, the route of the 5km race (health run) will be held on the same day and will start from Grand Monarch, Thalawathugoda and proceed through Kalalgoda and finish at Diyatha Uyana. 


All entries for the events will close on January 10, 2022 with G. L. S. Perera, Vice-President, No. 33, Independence Avenue, Colombo 7.
