The second quarter-final of the Clifford Cup Knock-Out Rugby Tournament 2024 will take place today between Havelock Sports Club and Navy Sports Club at Havelock Park. The kick-off is at 4.00 p.m.

Although this match was set to take place at a neutral venue, the Sailors have agreed to play at Havelock Park, which should be commended for their sportsmanship.
The Park Club will be captained by Azmir Fajudeen, who has led from the front with a good performance throughout the current season.
He will be well supported by Mohamed Abdullah, Sudesh Jayawickrema and his brother Sandesh Jayawickrema.

Although the Havies ended in the number four position in the League Tournament, they are set to put up a better show in the knock-out tournament.
Meanwhile, the Sailors with a young outfit, had an ordinary season during the League Tournament and failed to make an impact as some of their key players had crossed over to other clubs.

In addition, their regular Skipper and former Kingswood player, Thilina Weerasinghe suffered an injury in the early stage of the season. With Weerasinghe injured, Stephan Gregory will lead the outfit.

Navy SC have some top-class players such as Badra Seneviratne and Imanka Ishara, last year’s Kingswood Skipper, as the Sailors look to produce an improved performance in this key encounter.
