Holy Cross emerge U-11 badminton champs

Holy Cross College, Gampaha emerged ‘D’ Division champions at the All-Island Girls’ Inter-Schools Under-11 Badminton Team Championships held at the Lumbini College Badminton Indoor Stadium.   


Holy Cross shuttlers beat Viharamaha Devi Girls’ School, Badulla 3-2 in the final of this tournament, which was conducted by the Sri Lanka Schools Badminton Association.   
On their way to the final Holy Cross beat Good Shepherd Convent, Kotahena (5-0), Asian Grammar International School Gothatuwa (5-0), and received a walkover from Maliyadeva Model School.
