ITF Junior World Tennis Sri Lankan girls continue winning spree

Sri Lankan girls Arushi Thomas and Dinara de Silva continued their winning spree when they chalked up their second successive wins in the ongoing ITF Junior World Tennis Asia/Oceania tournament being played at the SLTA tennis courts in Greenpath, Colombo yesterday.

The ITF World Junior Asia/Oceania Tennis tournament is conducted with a pre-qualifying tournament where 14 countries in the boys and nine countrues in the girls segment are in action comprising of Cambodia, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Laos, Malaysia, Mongolia, Nepal, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Syria and Sri Lanka in the boys and Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Mongolia, Nepal, Oman, Pakistan, Singapore and Sri Lanka in the girls.

Singles:
Arushi Thomas (Sri Lanka) beat Saba Kheirmanesh (Iran) 2-0 (6/3, 6/3). Dinara de Silva (Sri Lanka) beat Yasman Yazdani (Iran) 2-1 (2/6, 7/6, 6/4). Saba Kheirmanesh/Yasman Yazdani (Iran) beat Arushi Thomas/Oneli Samarawickrama (Sri Lanka) 2-0 (6/2, 6/2).
