Independence Trophy 2022 Ceylon Provincial Football Tournament Four teams unbeaten after Stage Three

After the conclusion of Stage Two of the Independence Trophy 2022 Ceylon Provincial Football Tournament conducted by Football Sri Lanka (FSL), Western, Northern, Sabaragamuwa and Eastern Provinces remain unbeaten.   

Western, Northern and Sabaragamuwa gained four points each while Eastern drew both their matches. Matches are being played islandwide with the participation of eight provincial teams.   

Western, Northern and Sabaragamuwa have won one match each while drawing their other games. Uva are lying behind them in the points table having secured three points with one win. Meanwhile Stage three matches will be played today (2) and tomorrow (3) in Trincomalee. The tournament will continue until February 28.   

Today’s fixtures:

Uva vs. Central at Trincomalee at 3:30 p.m.   
Southern vs. Northern at Webber Stadium at 3:30 p.m.
