Royal College were shot out for a low 114 in their first innings against Trinity College in their Under 19 Inter Schools Tier 1 Quarter-final cricket encounter which commenced at the Asgiriya Stadium in Kandy yesterday.
In reply Trinity too were in a spot of bother losing half of the side for only 53 runs but recovered well with the help of Lakvin Abeysinghe (44), Vathila Udara (26) and Jayavi Liyanagama (29) taking Trinity to safety to end their first innings on 195. The Reid Avenue School’s pacie Ranuka Malaviarachchi took 5 wickets with some good medium fast bowling.
