International Boxing Meet on Nov. 26 in Colombo

The Ministry of Sports in collaboration with the Dubai-based DJMC Institution will conduct an international boxing tournament on November 26 at the Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium in Colombo.

Over 20 boxers from 13 European and Asian countries are set to participate in this tournament, which is held to promote the tourism industry in Sri Lanka, Sports Minister, Roshan Ranasinghe stated.   

The first of this kind of events to be staged in Sri Lanka will be named as the Middle East Crown Series-5 with the middle east hosting the previous four tournaments.

Competitors from the USA, Thailand, Ukrainian, India, Pakistan, Philippines, Kazakhstan, Indonesia, Japan, UAE, Tajikistan, Ghana and Sri Lanka will compete in this tournament.
Sri Lanka are set to field two Men and one Woman for this meet.
