Action from the 29th Inter-International Schools Swimming Championship

Lyceum Wattala emerged as the overall champions at the 29th Inter-International Schools Swimming Championship, which concluded at the Sugathadasa Stadium Swimming Pool Complex in Colombo yesterday.
874 swimmers from 21 international schools participated in this championship, which was conducted by the Asian International School.
The champions, Lyceum Wattala, collected 1,013 points to finish on top of the points table, while Lyceum Ratnapura were placed second with 963 points.
Meanwhile, Gateway College, Colombo, secured third place with 516 points, followed by Stafford International School (503 points), Lyceum, Panadura (460 points), and Lyceum, Nugegoda (406 points).
Asian International School finished seventh with 328 points, while Royal Institute (287 points), The British School in Colombo (224 points), and Horizon College International (164 points) completed the top 10 in the overall tally.

Under-10 Girls’: Wonushi Wijesinghe (Lyceum, Wattala) three Gold Medals (45 points), Under-10 Boys’: Sethun Rajapaksha (Lyceum, Panadura) three Gold Medals and one new record (47 points), Under-12 Girls’: Rusansa Lokuwithana (Royal Institute) three Gold Medals (45 points), Under-12 Boys’: Onel Perera (Stafford International School) two Gold Medals and one Silver Medal (40 points), Under-14 Girls’: Dilushi Dilshara (Lyceum, Wattala) three Gold Medals (45 points), Under-14 Boys’: Dulaksha Ganidu (Lyceum, Ratnapura) three Gold Medals and two new records (49 points), Under-16 Girls’: Yunaya Perera (Lyceum, Ratnapura) three Gold Medals and one new record (47 points), Under-16 Boys’: Okitha Gunasekera (Elizabeth Moir School) three Gold Medals and three new records (51 points), Under-20 Girls’: Hiruki de Silva (Gateway, Colombo) three Gold Medals and three new records (51 points), Under-20 Boys’: Shaqib Riyaj (Stafford International School) two Gold Medals, one Silver Medal and one new record (42 points).
