Jevahn claims lead at Junior Open Golf Meet

Long-range hitter, Jevahn Sathasivam stormed back into the lead after day two with some top class golf by securing the top position with one more day to go at the Sri Lanka Junior Open Golf Championship 2024, continued at the Royal Colombo Golf Club Course yesterday.
Sathasivam clinched the top spot in the Boys’ Gold Division with an impressive total of 140 (72, 68), narrowly edging out Adithya Weerasinghe, who finished with 141 (70, 71). Reshan Algama secured third place with a total of 151 (77, 74).
Kaya Daluwatte with her overseas playing experience, continued to lead in the Girls’ Gold/Silver Division, showing her power with an unbeatable total of 139 (70, 69). Runner-up Anumi Karunathilake finished at 163 (87, 76), displaying promise for the future.  
Thejas Rathis Kanth was in the lead for the Boys’ Silver Division with a total of 150 (76, 74), while Kaiyan Johnpillai came in second, just three strokes behind, with a total of 153 (76, 77).  
In the Boys’ Bronze Division, Lavindu Premarathne lead with a total of 107 (53, 54). Revann Amarasinghe followed closely with 110 (53, 57). For the Girls’, Genuli Weerakoon claimed the title with 131 (66, 65).
The youngest competitors displayed remarkable skills with Yuvan Rathiskanth leading the Boys’ Copper Division at 64 (33, 31) while Jaeden Sathasivam closely followed on number two with 65 (31, 34).
In the Girls’ Division, Ananya Kishanthan lead with 81 (40, 41). Dulkini Kangara 87 (45, 42) was placed second.
