Joes undisputed schools cager champs

Exhibiting their superiority on the courts St. Joseph’s College Colombo emerged undisputed Champions in the Western Province National Schools Basketball Tournament, scoring an empirical victory over Ananda College Colombo.   

The tournament was conducted by the Sri Lanka Schools Basketball Association for boys and girls, revived after a lapse of three years.   

The Joes on their way to the finals defeated D.S. Senanayake College 48-36 in the preliminaries. In the final round they defeated, Lyceum International School, Nugegoda 41-31 (quarter-finals), Lyceum International School Wattala 43-42 (semi-finals) and Ananda College 67-41 in the finals.
