Junior and Senior Beach VB Nationals to be held in Negombo

 The Sri Lanka Volleyball Federation (SLVB) has decided to hold the National Junior and Senior Beach Volleyball Tournament 2023 on May 19, 20 and 21 at Negombo Beach.   

The under 16 and under 19 boys and girls tournaments will be held as Junior National Championships and the under 22 and open men’s and women’s tournaments as Senior National Championships, said C. Rathnamudali, Secretary of the Beach Volleyball Division of SLVB.   

New athletes will be recruited to the national beach volleyball pool based on the performance of this year’s beach volleyball national championship.   

A national beach volleyball pool (men and women) is now operational targeting several Asian championship beach volleyball tournaments including the Asian Games to be held this year.   

 The beach volleyball pool consists of eight men and eight women players.
