Kamindu Mendis to lead Sri Lanka A

Kamindu Mendis has been selected to lead the Sri Lanka A team for the three-one day match series against the visiting Pakistan Shaheens, with the first ODI scheduled to be played at the Rangiri Dambulla Stadium today.

Seven players, namely Oshada Fernando, Vishwa Fernando, Lasith Embuldeniya, Asitha Fernando, Kamil Mishara, Suminda Lakshan and Chamika Gunasekera who were part of the Sri Lanka A team that played against Pakistan Shaheens in the recently concluded three match Unofficial Test series, have been rested while three players, Ashen Bandara, Pulina Tharanga and Shiran Fernando have been included.

The second and third one day matches will be played on November 12 and 14 at the same venue.
