Kandy continues winning streak

Kandy continued their winning ways in the Under 23 Inter District Women’s T20 tournament when they beat Trincomalee by 82 runs at the Pallekele Prison ground yesterday.
Sansala Wanigasekera scored a sparkling unbeaten 72, inclusive of eight boundaries, for the Kandy outfit while in the bowling Nimeshika Seneviratne took 5 wickets for the winning home side.

Kandy 130 for 2 in 20 overs (Sansala Wanigasekara 72 not out, Tharushi Thathsarani 26 not out)

Trincomalee 48 in 14.1 overs (Mithali Ayodhya 12, Nimeshika Seneviratne 5 for 11, Shanilka Sathyangi 2 for 17)
