The Junior Open at Kilmarnock in Barassie, Scotland concluded on a high note on day three, showing the talents of promising young golfers from around the globe.

Hyosong Lee from South Korea emerged victorious in the Girls’ category with an outstanding gross-score of 209, finishing nine under par over the three-day event.

Lee’s consistent performance across all three days put her position as a rising star in the world of junior golf.

Among the notable performances was Sri Lanka’s Kaya Daluwatte, who secured a top-20 finish with a commendable gross-score of 231. Despite a challenging final round of four over par, Daluwatta’s solid play throughout the tournament has undoubtedly boosted her confidence as she prepares for upcoming competitions in India, where she resides and plays competitive golf.

Meanwhile, in the Boys’ section, the tournament had its share of surprises. Sri Lanka’s Jevahn Sathasivan, who had a good day two, delivered a strong performance but unfortunately did not meet expectations in the end on day three under difficult playing conditions.

The Junior Open at Kilmarnock has once again highlighted the incredible skill and potential of young golfers. As these athletes continue to hone their abilities and gain experience, the future of golf looks bright with such talented players making their mark on the sport.
