Kingswood win Central Province football title

Kingswood Under-20 Football Team with officials

Kingswood College emerged champions at the Central Province School Games Under-20 Football Tournament when they beat St. Xavier’s College, Nuwara Eliya on a penalty shootout after the game ended in a 1-1 draw at the Digana Sports Complex in Kandy.   
Kingswood won the penalty shootout 3-2.   
With this win, Kingswood have qualified to play in the All-Island National School Games, later this year.   
Kingswood beat Kotagala Tamil Vidyalaya 5-1 and beat Zahira College, Matale 2-1 in the preliminary round.
