Kingswood win by ten wickets

Kingswood College beat Ibbagamuwa National School by ten wickets in their Under-15 Division ‘1’ cricket encounter which concluded at the St. Anthony’s College ground in Katugastota recently.  

The highlight of the match was some fine leg spin bowling by the Randles Hill school’s Kenula Pihilianga who took a match bag of 9 for 33 and scored a brisk 45 for the Kandy School.  

Kingswood 1st innings 160 for 8 dec. (Nikeshala Nanayakkara 81, Kenula Pihilianga 45) and 2nd innings 10 for 0 (Kaveesha Madushan 2 for 5, Hasitha Sandeepa 2 for 48)  

Ibbagamuwa Central 1st innings 81 all out (Venusha Abhiman 21; Kenula Pihilianga 5 for 12, Nadeesha Bandaranayake 2 for 6) and 2nd innings 86 all out (Erosh Bandara 32; Kenula Pihilianga 4 for 21, Thanujith Dissanayake 2 for 14,  Nadeesha Bandaranayake 2 for 42)
