Kotelawala MV, Ambagamuwa CC win John Tarbat U-16 titles

Sir John Kotelawala MV, Kurunegala, and Ambagamuwa Central College, Udabulathgama, won the Boys’ and Girls’ Under-16 Championships respectively at the 90th Ritzbury Sir John Tarbat Inter-Schools Senior Athletic Meet held at the Mahinda Rajapaksa Sports Complex in Diyagama.

The meet was conducted by the Sri Lanka Schools Athletics Association with the participation of Under-16, Under-18, and Under-20 athletes as well.  

Meanwhile, Lyceum, Wattala emerged runners-up in the Boys’ and Girls’ Under-16 Championship.

Under-16 Boys’ - Champions: Sir John Kotelawala MV, Kurunegala, Second place: Lyceum, Wattala, Third place: St. Benedict’s
Under-16 Girls’ - Champions: Ambagamuwa CC, Udabulathgama, Second place: Lyceum, Wattala, Third place: Princes of Wales, Moratuwa
Under-18 Boys’ - Champions: Badulla MMV, Second place: Lyceum, Wattala, Third place: St. Joseph Vas, Wennappuwa
Under-18 Girls’ - Champions: Rathnayake CC, Walala, Second place: Lyceum, Wattala, Third place: Ave Maria Convent, Negombo
Under-20 Boys’ - Champions: Lyceum, Wattala, Second place: Rahula, Matara, Third place: St. Peter’s, Bambalapitiya
Under-20 Girls’ - Champions: Rathnayake CC, Walala, Second place: Dharmapala, Pannipitiya, Third place: Lyceum/Bishop’s/Holy Cross, Gampaha joint
