Kulasinghe, Weerasinghe emerge champions

The Air Force Inter-Unit Billiards and Snooker which concluded at the Air Force billiards table at the gymnasium of Air Force base in Katunayake saw leading aircraftman M.D.N. Kulasinghe of Air Force Base Katunayake and leading aircraft women W.M.S.H. Weerasinghe of Air Force Base Hingurakgoda emerged champions in the men’s and women’s categories respectively.  
The cueists of the Regiment Formation of Base Katunayake emerged the inter-unit team champions while the Tech Formation of Base Katunayake ended as the runner up.   
The tournament conducted by the SLAF Billiards and Snooker and supported by the Billiards and Snooker Association with the aim of encouraging the players who have taken up to the sport to showcase their talent to go greater heights.  
The award ceremony was held after the completion of the tournament which was attended by chief guest Air Vice Marshal Chaminda Wickramaratne, Air Vice MarshallDeshapriya Silva, Base Commander SLAF Base Katunayake, Air Commodore Samantha Weerasekera, Director of Sports SLAF, Air Commodore Buddika Piyasiri, Chairman SLAF Billiards and Snooker, Ziham Hussain, President of Billiards and Snooker Association of Sri Lanka and Kumara Lanerolle, Secretary, Billiards and Snooker Association.
