The awards presentation of the inaugural Lanka Super League (LSL) Semi-Professional Football Tournament will be held on January 18 at the Colombo Port City premises under the patronage of Sports Minister Namal Rajapaksa said Umar Jaswar, President, Football Sri Lanka to Daily Mirror.
40 matches have been already completed in this 10-team tournament, which features 45 fixtures and the remaining five games will be played today and tomorrow (Jan 10-11) in Colombo.
Meanwhile, according to the latest points table released by Football Sri Lanka (FSL), Blue Star SC and Colombo FC are on top with 19 points each. Both teams have won six, lost one and drawn one game.
Colombo FC will meet Sea Hawks FC and Blue Star SC will face Blue Eagles SC in two vital Stage-9 matches on January 11 and the champions will be decided thereafter.
Shenal Sandesh of Blue Star SC is the highest goal scorer of the tournament (10 goals) followed by Mohamed Rahman of Red Star FC (eight goals) and Mohamed Aakib of Colombo FC (seven goals).
