Local netball tournaments to be held before August 31

The Sri Lanka Netball Federation (SLNF) has decided to end the local netball tournament in 2023 before August 31.

Since the national youth and senior teams would be participating in the Asian Youth Netball Championship June 10-17 (South Korea) and World Netball Championship July 28-August 6 (South Africa), SLNF President Lakshmi Victoria said that the local tournaments will be held before August 31.

The 2023 Netball Nationals has already been held and in the future only the three major tournaments namely Inter-Association, Junior Nationals, and Super League are scheduled to be held.

Meanwhile, SLNF has planned to hold an international level netball tournament in Sri Lanka in May as preparation for the Asian Youth and World Cup tournaments.
