Luxman Wijesuriya re-elected as chess president

Newly elected Executive Committee  

Luxman Wijesuriya was re-elected unanimously for a second term as the President of the Chess Federation of Sri Lanka at the Annual General Meeting held at the Chess Federation Headquarters.   

Wijesuriya is currently serving as the General Secretary of the South Asian Chess Council and the Commonwealth Chess Association and is a Vice President of the Asian Chess Federation as well.   

Kanishka Welipitiya was elected as the new secretary General Federation while Erosh Jayasinghe will continue as the Treasurer.   

All members of the Executive Committee was also elected unanimously.
