MCA – CDB Open ‘Sixes’ to start today

The fourth Citizens Development Business Finance sponsored Mercantile Cricket Association (MCA) Open six-a-side Cricket Tournament 2022 gets off to a start with its Tier ‘A’ (turf) segment today (30) at the MCA and Bloomfield grounds, simultaneously commencing at 8:30 a.m.   

The following 13 teams in four groups will be participating to a finish. 

 
At MCA Grounds: 

Group ‘A” : Fairfirst Insurance, Sampath Bank ‘B’, Peoples Leasing ‘A’ and Hayleys Group ‘A’   
Group ‘B’: Mode Engineering ‘A’, Hayleys Group ‘B’ and HNB   

At Bloomfield Grounds :

Group ‘C’: Maliban Biscuits, CDB, Mode Engineering ‘B’ and Asia Asset Finance   
Group ‘D’: Sampath Bank ‘A’, Commercial Bank and Peoples Leasing’ B’   
At the completion of the league stage, the four group leaders will advance to the semi-finals.   
The semi-final winner at Bloomfield will move to MCA Grounds to meet the semi- final winner at MCA for the final.   
The tournament will be continued with the Tier ‘B’ segment on matting, this week-end, September (3) and (4) at four venues.
