Maharoof steps down from Minister’s cricket Technical Consultative Committee

Former national cricketer Farveez Maharoof has stepped down from his role in the cricket Technical Consultative Committee to Sports Minister Roshan Ranasinghe. 
The committee includes other former cricketers Sanath Jayasuriya, Charith Senanayake, Asantha de Mel and Kapila Wijegunawardhana, 
“I stepped down due to personal reasons and not being able to give my time at the moment with my broadcasting work, young family and business,” Maharoof told the Daily Mirror.
The committee was formed to advise the Minister on all matters relating to cricket.
