A four wicket haul by Dilum Sudeera and an unbeaten 79 by Santhush Gunatileke paved the way for Tamil Union to record a three wicket win over Galle CC in a Major Club Limited Over tournament encounter played at the Surrey Village ground in Maggona yesterday.

The match curtailed to 31 overs saw Dilum’s four helped Tamil Union to restrict Galle CC taking first lease of the wicket for a score of 153 and Santhush’s 7i ball knock of 79 that included five boundaries and three sixes enabled Tamil Union to reach the target with six balls to spare to record their fourth win of the tournament.

Meanwhile six matches Ragama CC vs Colts CC, Chilaw Marians CC vs SSC, BRC vs Moors SC, Kandy Customs CC vs Army SC, Lankan CC vs Air Force SC and Sebastianites CC vs Ace Capital CC which were scheduled to be played yesterday was abandoned without a ball being bowled due to wet outfield.- MSA
