Major Club Limited Over Tournament Sachitha, Chamikara guide Sebs to easy win

Fine performances by Sachitha Jayatileke and spinner Chamikara Edirisinghe helped Sebastianites CC to coast to a comfortable 54-run win over Panadura SC in a Major Club Limited Over tournament encounter played at Maggona yesterday.  

Jayathileke made a top score of 71 which included three boundaries and four sixes and was involved in two fruitful partnerships, first of 54 runs for the sixth wicket with Manleker de Silva and the other of 59 runs for the eight-wicket with Madushan Ravichandrakumar to help Sebastianites CC to make 228 runs.  

Later spinner Edirisinghe grabbed four scalps and was supported by Shashrika Pussegolla and Ravichandrakumar who together shared four wickets as the trio combined to bowl out Panadura SC for a score of 174 runs.  
The match between CCC and Moors SC which was scheduled to be played yesterday was abandoned without a ball being bowled due to a wet outfield.  

At Maggona – Sebastianites CC won by 54 runs
