Major Club Limited Over Vimukthi spins Panadura SC to victory

Left arm spinner Nimesh Vimukthi ended with impressive match figures of 6 for 17 as he guided Panadura SC to an easy six-wicket win over Badureliya SC in the Major Club Limited Over tournament encounter played at the Surrey Village ground in Maggona. Vimukthi’s six wicket haul sent Badureliya SC reeling to a low score of 85 runs. Panadura SC in their run chase raced to the target with ease in the 13th over to record their second win of the tournament. The match between Colts CC and Chilaw Marians CC which was scheduled to be played at the Colts ground was abandoned without a ball being bowled due to a wet outfield. At Maggona – Panadura SC won by six wickets Badureliya SC 85 in 28 overs (Alankara Asanka 20: Nimesh Vimukthi 6 for 17, Dilruwan Perera 3 for 22) Panadura SC 86 for 4 in 12.5 overs (Dilruwan Perera 21, Nimantha Peiris 18, Dunith Jayatunga 15, Abhishek Gupta 21 n.o.: Buddika Sanjeewa 2 for 24)
